The Red Sox Foundation partners with nonprofits across New England and Lee County, FL, to support the important work of hundreds of organizations in our communities. Our work with programmatic grantees focuses on critical support in health, education, and recreation, and our financial support ranges from $1,000 – $5,000. The Foundation is unable to provide funding for capital campaigns or endowments, as well as any political or religious entities.
As we continue to face the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Red Sox Foundation will be focusing our giving strategy to support those organizations directly responding to the immediate crisis. With that, we encourage organizations that are making direct impact against the wake of COVID-19 to seek funding.
The Red Sox Foundation currently accepts applications for sponsorship for chartered official Little League teams in Rhode Island and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts if recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity in good standing. Information on our Little League sponsorship application can be found here. The Foundation is currently unable to fund field refurbishments or tournament fees and travel.
Every year, the Red Sox Foundation provides fans in the surrounding New England states with the opportunity to support their favorite nonprofits by nominating organizations to receive a grant through our IMPACT Awards. The theme of the IMPACT Awards changes annually to respond to the evolving need of our communities while staying aligned with the Foundation’s mission. In 2019, the IMPACT Awards focused on organizations that demonstrated an impact on improving health and wellness outcomes in their communities, and you can view the winners here. The 2020 IMPACT theme will be announced in April 2020.
Applications to apply for programmatic funding exceeding $5,000 are by invitation only.
