Red Sox Nation,
We hope this finds you and your family in good health and spirits. We are living through the unimaginable—a pandemic that will impact every corner of the globe and change our lives forever. But crisis often has a way of bringing us closer. I know that we will persist and persevere through this as one community.
To that end, the Red Sox Foundation has always been committed to our New England and Southwest Florida communities. Now, more than ever, we are stepping up to the plate. On Wednesday, April 15, we launched an Emergency Hardship Fund, which will specifically address an issue we know is impacting millions of people right now: food insecurity.
Due to overwhelming demand, we are temporarily pausing new application submissions to ensure we are able to help those who have already applied. The volume of applications we have received speaks to the great need in New England and Southwest Florida. Please check back regularly for updates. We will have the latest information posted here and hope to open applications again soon. In the meantime, please see a list of local resources below available to assist in food relief and other aid.
Thank you, and stay strong,
Bekah Salwasser
Executive Director
Red Sox Foundation
