RED SOX FOUNDATION AND LINDA HENRY TO HOST

20TH ANNUAL “FENWAY TO THE RUNWAY” FUNDRAISER

AT 521 OVERLOOK FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16

Ruth Carter, 2019 Academy Award Winner for Achievement in Costume Design for Black Panther to Attend as Special Guest

BOSTON, MA – The Red Sox wives and girlfriends will walk the fashion runway at the 521 Overlook at Fenway Park this Friday, September 16 for the 20th Annual “Fenway to the Runway” fundraiser. A signature event for two decades, “Fenway to the Runway” benefits the Red Sox Foundation and its mission to make a difference in the lives of youth, families, Veterans and communities in need across New England by improving health, educational and recreational opportunities.

The event, hosted by Red Sox Foundation Board Member Linda Henry, begins at 11 a.m. and will feature special guest and costume designer Ruth Carter, 2019 Academy Award Winner for Achievement in Costume Design for Black Panther.

Red Sox wives and girlfriends who will take the stage include Yami Alcala (Alex Verdugo), Chelsea Barnes (Matt Barnes), Monica Refsnyder (Rob Refsnyder), Megan Strahm (Matt Strahm), and Sarah Wacha (Michael Wacha).

The “Fenway to the Runway” event is made possible with corporate support from Aramark, Bloomingdale’s, Boston Red Sox, JNG Event Consulting, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Bond Vet, Boston Bruins Foundation, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Pan-Mass Challenge, Foundation To Be Named Later, MGS Group Real Estate, Patriots Foundation, WS Development and Rafanelli Events. All proceeds will benefit the Red Sox Foundation’s award-winning programs in education and youth baseball and softball, including Red Sox Scholars and RBI (Reviving Baseball and Softball in Inner-Cities).
