Welcome to the Red Sox Foundation, the official team charity of the Boston Red Sox! Our primary focus is in serving the health, education, recreation, and social service needs of children and families in need across New England. Our goal is to harness the passion our fans have for the Red Sox and transform it into a vehicle for positive change in our community. MASSACHUSETTS AND RHODE ISLAND DRIVERS – ORDER YOUR RED SOX LICENSE PLATE.
In June 2011, Governor Lincoln Chafee and the Rhode Island Legislature created legislation authorizing a new Red Sox special charity license plate, which will raise funds for the Red Sox Foundation to help fund the new Rhode Island Red Sox Scholarship Program for academically talented Rhode Island high school seniors going on to college who have demonstrated a commitment to community service. A written Overview of the process RI drivers can follow to purchase a Rhode Island Red Sox logoed charitable license plate and the RI Red Sox License Plate Order Form are now available for download. RI law requires we submit 900 paid orders before the new RI Red Sox plate can go into production and we are now accepting orders.
