Ountae joined the Red Sox Foundation as the Run to Home Base Intern in February 2023. Ountae graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso, spending 2 years there and 2 years at California State University, Fresno. He spent all 4 of those years competing for the Miners and Bulldogs on the basketball court. After graduation, Ountae served as Director of Jordan Downs Center in Watts, CA where he spent time aiding all aspects of community development in a former Government Housing Project. When away from Fenway, he likes to spend his time playing sports, learning about fashion and music, and sharpening his cooking skills.
